Center for Aero-Servo-Elasticity of Very Flexible Aircraft (CASE-VFA)

• Overarching Center Goal:

Be a Strategic Partner that will support Airbus in anticipating and addressing Flight Physics fundamental disruptive opportunities in the area of aero-structural-control analyses and design to be used in future low-emission, low fuel-burn, low cost, high-value aircraft development.

• Initial Center Research Focus:

High-aspect ratio wing (HARW) vehicle concepts and their aero-servo-elastic challenges and opportunities, along with the required tightly-integrated methods/tools and design approaches.
